Lead in your water?

There has been much in the press lately about lead in public water supplies. Please be assured that the Village's water supply meets or exceeds all EPA standards for safety and purity. Our water is safe to drink. However, it is always a good idea to let the water run from the faucet for a couple of minutes in the morning to flush out any water that might be stagnate.

Outdoor Watering Restrictions

From May 15 to September 15, watering of lawns using automated or manual sprinklers is prohibited from noon to 6:00 pm.

If you have new sod, you may water for 24 hours unrestricted from time of installation. After the first 24 hour period after sod installation the watering restriction goes into effect.

There is no restriction on the use of garden hoses.

Please do not put out your garbage before sunset on the day before pickup. If you use cans, make sure that they are covered and remove them from the curb before 7 pm on the day of collection.

Also, make sure that all garbage is in a can with a lid or in a heavy duty sealed bag.
